1.1 Overview 

The purpose of this enhancement is to address issues related to onboarding corporations in the system. From a business perspective, there are two types of corporations in APEXA. A Single Advisor Corporation is an independent advisor who is running their business through their own company. In contrast, a Multiple Advisor Corporation has more than one advisor, all working under the corporation’s contracts with the MGAs and the Carriers. As such we have made changes to the onboarding requirements for each corporation type. A Single Advisor Corporation will be required to complete an Advisor and Corporate profile, but a Multiple Advisor Corporation will only be required to complete a Corporate profile. 

In addition, to these changes, in order to simplify and streamline the onboarding process, updates have been made to the onboarding requirements to remove optional fields and sections for all profile types as well as improvements to the general look and feel of the onboarding user interface.  

To improve the contracting process, contracts and contract requests will be created automatically when a net new Single Advisor Corporation or net new Multiple Advisor Corporation completes the onboarding process. This will remove the onus from the Corporations and individual Advisors from having to establish these relationships in the system.
