Enhancement Release 11.9.0 -Asset Language Indicator
Key Dates:
- These changes will be in Production on April 10th, 2024
- Following this release we will take a freeze on Production deployments until after the AWS Migration is complete
Asset Language Indicator:
As a pre-requisite to re-enable the Package Revisions feature, Apexa has introduced a new Asset Language Indicator. All existing and new assets will be assigned a language identifier for all asset types:
- Logos
- Sections
- Agreements
- Documents
- Packages
An asset can be assigned a value of: ‘English’, ‘French’ or ‘Bilingual’ based on the following logic.
Based on this setting the system will guide the user in maintaining the integrity of the asset by ensuring that only sub-components in the same language can be added.
Asset Language Display
The language indicator will be displayed in asset lists, the asset itself, asset components, when adding a Contracts or Transfer Package to a contract and in the Contract>Packages area
Existing Assets
All existing assets will be assigned a language value automatically corresponding with their current settings. The language value is assigned based on the following logic.
If Apexa is unable to determine their language due to incompatible language components, the asset will not be assigned a language value.
- If affected, Apexa will reach out to directly to assist you in cleaning up impacted assets so that a language value can be assigned manually.
- This will not impact your ability to contract with these assets. However, you will be unable to save a revision to the asset until a valid language value is assigned.
New Assets
All new assets must be assigned a language value as the first step in their creation in order to proceed to the next screen and/or save the asset.
The system will ensure compatible components are added to the asset. For example, when creating a new package, the system will only display eligible components of the same language in any drop-down/pick lists.
Editing an Asset
If an existing asset is edited to assign a new language value, the system will alert the client that any incompatible components will be automatically removed as they are not in accordance with the updated language value.
If the user selects ‘Cancel’ no components will be removed. If they click ‘Yes’ they will be removed from view but will not permanently be deleted until the revision is saved.
