Overview
AODA
As part of our ongoing commitment to digital accessibility, Apexa will be dedicating upcoming sprint cycles to addressing accessibility improvements across our platform.
The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) mandates that organizations meet specific standards to ensure digital spaces are accessible to people with disabilities. In alignment with these requirements, we are implementing enhancements to bring the Apexa platform into compliance with the latest WCAG 2.2 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) standards.
These updates will focus on resolving identified accessibility violations and improving the overall user experience for all individuals, regardless of ability.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
To further protect user accounts and sensitive data, APEXA will be dedicating upcoming development cycles to implementing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) across our platform. MFA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a second form of verification during login.
We will offer two authentication methods to accommodate different user groups:
- TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password)
- Required for: APEXA Staff, Clients
- Potentially optional for: Advisors, Corporations
- Email-Based Verification
- Available to: Clients, Advisors, Corporations
To minimize disruption and provide tailored onboarding support, MFA will be introduced in the following phases:
| Phase 1 | APEXA Staff | December 2025 |
| Phase 2 | Clients |
|
| Phase 3 | Advisors/ Corporations | Adoption to begin late 2026/early 2027 |
Each phase will be accompanied by clear guidance and support resources to assist users in activation of MFA.
Updated Search Results Table
A new layout for search results table has been implemented throughout APEXA, providing a more uniform and improved user experience.
Key features of the updated layout include:
- Sortable Columns: Users can now sort search results columns in ascending or descending order for enhanced data management.
- Pagination: Pagination functionality enables users to navigate through results page by page, offering improved usability and system performance when working with large datasets.
- Horizontal Scroll Bar: The introduction of a horizontal scroll bar allows for convenient sideways navigation to access the complete dataset within the table.
*Please note: The rollout of this new layout will continue incrementally across all search results in APEXA during upcoming sprints.
